O uso da mariposa foi escolhido pela sua capacidade de metamorfose.
Assim como uma borboleta a mariposa passa pelo processo de transformação indo de larva a casulo até sua forma final, contudo diferente da borboleta mariposas são mais associadas a noite e características mais rusticas.
A metamorfose aqui também representa a transformação da matéria prima (metal) em lindos broches únicos, assim como a escolhe dos traços da Art Noveau, que acredita na força do trabalho manual.
